Hi, friends! I’m Hannah, the brand coordinator here at Emily Ley. I’m the keeper of the EL Blog (and the Ley babies), a professional note-writer and organizer in the office, and all around right-hand-gal here at Emily Ley. I was born and raised in Annapolis, MD and made my way down to Florida during college. I moved to Tampa after graduating with my degree in music, but I never miss an opportunity to return home for a visit! I’m so thankful to be a part of the Emily Ley team, and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite things with you today!

What’s your favorite beauty secret?

My Clarisonic Mia—it’s, without a doubt, the best beauty tool I own. I can tell a huge difference in my complexion when I go a few days without using it. As far as products, I can’t go without MoroccanOil Treatment for my hair, or the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment. Both of them are fabulous!

What’s your favorite go-to outfit for a quick polished look? When I need to look polished quickly, I like to throw on a pair of white jeans, heels, and my favorite Lilly top. I also love my Rayne necklaces from Kendra Scott and wear them way too often. I have them in different colors, and they can make it look like I spent lots of time planning even the simplest of outfits!

What’s your favorite quick-prep dinner for your family? During the week I don’t have much time to spend cooking dinner, so I tend to stick with meals that seem fancy, but are actually super quick and simple. I love to whip up the brie, fig, and apple grilled cheese sandwich from Two Peas and Their Pod, and my favorite baked ziti recipe from allrecipes.com gets thrown into the dinner rotation pretty often, too!

Tell us your favorite Instagram account to follow and why? I spend way too much time on Instagram. So, needless to say, it’s hard to pick just one favorite! I love following @mackenziehoran for design inspiration and pops of color, @downtownannapolis for photos of my hometown (that I miss dearly!), and @sarahkjp for a little bit of vicarious living.

What tradition or routine is important to you? My morning routine is by far the most important one that I have! I make myself a cup of coffee, turn on some music, and sit down with my Bible, favorite devotional (this changes often, but I love Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young), or my ‘Write the Word’ journal. I also spend time making sure I have a set plan for the day ahead of me. There are certainly days when this doesn’t get done, but when I do, the rest of my day just goes so much smoother!

What’s in your purse? I try, and sometimes fail, to keep my purse as organized as possible, so I like to keep only the basics in it. I use wristlets to hold little things like hair ties and lipsticks, throw my sunglasses in with a cute case, and then stick my Simplified Planner on top when I’m going out for the day. And if we’re being totally honest, there’s probably a few crumpled up receipts floating around at the bottom. :)

What’s your favorite on-the-go lunch during a busy day? I love the protein boxes from Starbucks when I’m in need of a lunch on the go! They’re just the right size and easy to stick in my purse when I need to.

What can you not leave home without? Earrings, my iPhone, sunglasses, and a smile. :)
