If you were to run into me at Starbucks on a random Saturday, you’d more than likely find me wearing comfy sandals or my New Balance sneakers. I’m constantly on the go, and the ability to be able to chase a toddler down the street at a moment’s notice is a necessity these days. I’m rarely forced to stray from wearing my favorite skinny jeans and comfy tees, but with so many book signings and work events coming up in the next few months, I’ve been searching for the perfect shoes to wear when I need a more professional look. I like shoes that are comfortable (because, two active toddlers…) + easy to wear, and they have to be able to make me look (and feel!) pulled together in a pinch.
I’ve found that no matter how many different pairs of shoes I try, I always come back to my beloved D’Orsays. They meet all of my criteria and come in so many different color options. I have several pairs in my closet, and my favorites are from both J.Crew and Banana Republic. I love that the flats are comfy enough to chase little ones around in, and I can wear my D’Orsay heels out to an event and come home without blisters covering my feet.
